Mount Magazine Trail Runs

18 mile & 12 mile runs
Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
8:00 a.m. start

Mount Magazine State Park, Paris AR
AURA Ultra Trail Series Event
Race Director: Paul Turner

Mount Magazine State Park, a natural "island in the sky," looms over the Arkansas River Valley, and is home to Signal Hill, the highest point in the state, elevation 2,753 feet.

It is also home to magnificent bluffs which make for breathtaking scenery, provide spectacular views, and make it popular for hang gliders and climbers alike. Magazine also offers numerous trails for hiking & running atop the mountain and into the valley below.

This is a fun run and there are no entry fees but please register so we know how many to prepare for. Contact Paul Turner if you have any questions. There will be a donation box, to help cover expenses. After expenses are covered remaining proceeds go to the Mt Magazine Visitor Center.

Parking is limited. PLEASE carpool where possible!
  1. After the race we will have hot dogs and the fix'ns at the finish. Please hang around, eat, visit, and enjoy the mountain top. Adult beverages are welcome, but please be discreet.
  2. We have added a cut-off time, for the 18M run, of 11am at the staffed aid-station at mile 10.5 (behind the campground). If you get to the aid-station after 11, you will be directed to continue to the 12M finish.

Also, check out the GOOGLE MAP for more details.
